TACOR Difference

At TACOR, we firmly believe that our employees are our greatest asset. Being a small company, we operate with flexibility and urgency on customer service. We have assembled a top notch team to handle the wide variety of complex repair issues that are faced on a daily basis. Our employees have extensive training in the areas of business that bring additional value to our customers. The TACOR shop has been serving the aerospace industry for over 21 years! Our staff certifications include:

  • Certified welders (AWS D17.1 and D17.2 Standards)
  • NDT inspectors (ASTM-E1417-11)
  • Repairmen (FAA Part 65)

Mike Norwood


Mike is one of the company’s founding partners and is now the sole owner. He is not only the Accountable Manager but also handles much of the sales and engineering duties. Mike has been in the aerospace industry for over 25 years. His hobbies include coaching, travel, golf and other outdoor sports.

Alicia Norwood

VP of Marketing

Alicia started her aviation career as a Flight Instructor for the University of Oklahoma. For the last twenty years she has been in sales for Aviall, A Boeing Company. Beginning in spring of 2016, Alicia will be responsible for Marketing and Promotions, specifically TACOR’s 25th Anniversary. Her hobbies include coaching her daughter’s sports teams, golf, and spending time with friends and family.

Alan Reeves

General Manager

Alan came to work at TACOR in 2005 as a welder and worked his way up through the company. Alan became the General Manager in 2012 and now oversees all aspects of the business. He has a unique background with both sales and mechanical experience. Alan also has a Bachelor of Science degree from Tarleton State University. His hobbies are baseball, hot rods, and travel.

Maria Poldson

Office Manager

Maria started at TACOR in 2008 as a part time employee in the Shipping and Receiving Department. After graduating college she accepted a full time position as Office Manager. She now handles many aspects of business including accounts payable and receivable, customer service, purchasing, payroll, and HR. In her spare time Maria volunteers with the Girl Scouts of Texas-Oklahoma Plains and CASA of Wise and Jack County

Chris Snider

Director of Helicopter Sales

Chris entered the Aviation Industry six years ago specializing in selling and marketing welding repairs for the Rotorcraft market. He graduated from Tarleton State University with a BBA and owned his own business for 30 years. He resides in North Texas with his wife Becky and has one son. In his spare time he enjoys working on the family farm, hunting and golf.

Travis Lechowit

Chief Inspector

Travis re-located to the DFW area in 2016, soon after arriving he joined the TACOR team as our Chief Inspector. Travis is a licensed A&P with over 25 years of aviation experience in a variety of fields including military, helicopters, and fleet maintenance coordination. As Chief Inspector, Travis oversees all aspects of the inspection department, and assists the General Manager with special projects. Travis holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business. In his free time he enjoys riding horses, and spending time with his wife and kids.

Vinicius Rondon

International Sales

Vinicius joined the TACOR team in 2016 after more than 16 years working at Embraer. Stationed in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Vinicius’ expertise in Embraer products and his aviation background will help Tacor to expand its footprint around the globe. He is a mechanical engineer with Master Degree in Material Science. He enjoys MTB, trekking, rock climbing, wake-boarding and spending time with his family.
